I believe that difficulties in daily living are products of deep, unacknowledged psychological pain. I believe there’s healing from this as we make meaning of your experience.
Psychotherapy is a collaborative experience between clients and therapists, involving uncovering your experiences and learning how these thoughts and feelings impact your relationships. At times the process is straightforward as we work to develop practical strategies for managing the challenges of daily living. Yet the journey can also take unexpected turns as you learn truths about yourself and those in your life. We will use the information that we learn to tailor interventions unique to your situation. Psychotherapy can make use of all these events, increasing your ability to navigate the complexities of life and relationships, building your resilience and stability in the face of adversity, increasing your ability to manage and tolerate both joy and pain, and learning to experience more fulfilling relationships.
While I use psychodynamic theory to help us understand how your mind and emotions work, I also employ interventions using the following modalities: behavioral principles, mindfulness-based interventions, polyvagal-informed interventions, and existential thought. I use behavioral principles to help clients act and to identify aspects of the environment that promote or inhibit both helpful and unhelpful behaviors. Mindfulness-based interventions are used to enhance the ability to accept ourselves, encourage self-compassion, to identify how we respond to our environment, develop a more adaptive interaction with ourselves and our world, and to use stress-reducing strategies. Polyvagal-informed therapy helps clients to identify how the autonomic nervous system “remembers” our lived experience and informs us of safety or danger in the environment. This approach helps clients learn to manage their body’s response to stress in various forms. Finally, I use existential principles in the treatment of anxiety in all its forms. Existential forms of therapy help clients face life with courage, recognizing that they can survive what may come.
Whatever your situation, I can help you become more resilient, grounded, and stable. I will help you learn to better manage your emotions and experience more fulfilling relationships. Together, we will discover the truth of yourself; this journey takes courage, and I look forward to getting started with you.

Many individuals silently carry the emotional burden of trauma, chronic stress, anxiety, health-related concerns, and difficult life experiences while continuing to meet the demands of daily life. Over time, these challenges can significantly affect emotional well-being, relationships, physical health, and overall quality of life. However, seeking psychological support is not always easy. Feelings of shame, fear of judgment, cultural barriers, or previous negative experiences within healthcare settings can often prevent individuals from reaching out for help. These experiences have strengthened my commitment to providing compassionate, culturally sensitive, and person-centered care that helps individuals feel seen, supported, and understood.
My clinical experiences have reinforced the importance of approaching mental health care from an integrative perspective that recognizes the strong connection between emotional and physical well-being. I am particularly passionate about working with adults navigating trauma, women’s mental health concerns, chronic health conditions, anxiety, depression, body image concerns, identity-related challenges, life transitions, and stress related to interpersonal or medical experiences. I also have a strong interest in health psychology and integrated behavioral care, helping clients better understand the ways emotional and physical health influence one another.
As a bilingual provider, I value offering culturally sensitive care to both English- and Spanish-speaking individuals. I strive to create a therapeutic environment that fosters safety, collaboration, and empowerment while helping clients develop insight, resilience, and meaningful change. I am especially passionate about supporting individuals who may feel emotionally overwhelmed, disconnected from themselves, or impacted by difficult interpersonal and healthcare experiences.
My treatment approach is client-centered, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practices tailored to each individual's unique needs and experiences. I integrate Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Solution-Focused Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and somatic-based approaches while maintaining a trauma-informed and culturally sensitive perspective. Together, we will work to build effective coping strategies, foster greater self-understanding, strengthen resilience, and support lasting emotional well-being.

Life can bring unexpected challenges that leave us feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or uncertain about what comes next. You do not have to navigate those moments alone.
My approach is person-centered and solution-focused, helping clients build hope, recognize their strengths, and move toward meaningful change. While my clinical training provides the foundation for my work, my own life experiences have deeply shaped my understanding of resilience, healing, and perseverance. I have faced personal challenges that required me to decide whether I would keep fighting and moving forward. My answer has always been yes. Those experiences have strengthened my commitment to supporting others through life's difficult transitions.
I am particularly interested in working with individuals experiencing adjustment difficulties, including the collegiate population, anxiety, self-esteem and self-worth concerns, grief and loss, and those who feel marginalized, disenfranchised, or misunderstood. I welcome first-time therapy clients, especially those who may be the first in their family to seek counseling or who come from backgrounds where therapy has been viewed as taboo. I also have a special interest in supporting individuals coping with the loss of a loved one, including the grief associated with premature or unexpected death.
I believe therapy should be a collaborative process. Through active listening, we will work together to identify your goals, determine meaningful next steps, and develop a plan tailored to your unique needs. As therapy progresses, we can adjust that plan based on your experiences and feedback. Honesty, authenticity, and open communication are encouraged and modeled throughout our work together.
If you're ready to take the next step toward healing and growth, I would be honored to support you on your journey. Let's connect.
