Our lives and our brains throw us lots of curveballs, which can leave us feeling frustrated and overwhelmed. I specialize in working with people who find themselves “stuck on repeat” with compulsive behaviors. Using research-based techniques tailored to each unique person, I help people get back in the driver’s seat and navigate their lives according to their values and goals.
Using therapeutic interventions grounded in research and tailored to the individual, I have successfully treated anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, hoarding, body-focused repetitive behaviors (BFRBs) including skin picking and hair pulling, self-injury, tic disorders, compulsive technology use, substance use, and disordered eating in teens and adults. I have worked with special populations including members of the uniformed services, veterans, incarcerated people, and people with current and past cancer diagnoses. These experiences have made me very comfortable working with adjustment to circumstances we cannot control.
I use approaches based on cognitive behavioral therapy such as acceptance and commitment therapy, guided mindfulness meditation, comprehensive behavioral intervention for tics, habit reversal training, comprehensive behavioral treatment for BFRBs, and exposure and response prevention. In treatment, I emphasize and honor the importance of the whole person: body, mind, and spirit. Accordingly, cultural heritage and tradition, gender identity and sexuality, and faith/spirituality may play an important role in your treatment and will be given the space they deserve. Whatever your circumstances, a meaningful life aligned with your values is achievable. I won’t have all the answers, but I’ll walk the path with you.

Feeling stuck in cycles of family conflict, overwhelmed by anxiety, or disconnected from the people who matter most can leave you feeling deeply isolated. Navigating trauma, major life transitions, intense emotions, or questions surrounding identity and faith takes immense courage, especially when your closest relationships feel strained or uncertain. You do not have to carry these challenges alone. As a therapist dedicated to depth work and systemic healing, I help individuals and families move beyond survival mode toward greater clarity, resilience, and meaningful connection.
As a Level II trained Attachment-Based Family Therapist (ABFT), I specialize in helping families repair fractured relationships, rebuild trust, strengthen communication, and deepen emotional bonds. I work with families, at-risk youth, young adults, parents, and individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, stress, anger management concerns, Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), substance use and co-occurring disorders (SUD), sexuality, and identity intersectionality. I also provide support through major life transitions, including young adulthood, parenting, divorce, and end-of-life concerns. In addition to therapy services, I offer Therapeutic Assessments to help individuals gain greater insight, understanding, and clarity about their experiences and goals.
My approach is rooted in Attachment-Based Family Therapy (ABFT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), while integrating trauma-informed care and somatic techniques to support nervous system regulation and emotional wellness. I provide a strengths-based, inclusive, and value-honoring space where clients can safely explore family dynamics, personal identity, faith backgrounds, and religious trauma without judgment. Together, we will focus on stabilization, building on existing strengths, reducing emotional overwhelm, and developing practical tools for lasting change. Whether you are seeking to heal family relationships, process trauma, navigate life transitions, strengthen your sense of self, or gain clarity through assessment, I am committed to helping you build a more connected, resilient, and fulfilling future.

I work with adolescents and adults on a range of concerns, with a particular interest and specialization in eating disorders, exercise addiction, body image, low self-esteem, OCD, and anxiety. I also have extensive experience helping people who feel caught in cycles of overthinking and worrying, who are highly self-critical, or who struggle with a persistent feeling that they’re not ‘good enough'.
While having a space to talk and feel heard is important, I also want you to leave our sessions with skills or takeaways that you can use in your everyday life. Our goal isn't to eliminate every difficult thought or feeling, but to help you feel less controlled by them and more able to live life in ways which are meaningful for you.
I draw from evidence-based approaches including CBT, ACT, and ERP, DBT/ RO-DBT, and FBT, tailoring treatment to your needs and goals. Together, we’ll explore the thoughts and behaviors that may be contributing to your distress and work toward developing more helpful and flexible ways of responding.
Outside of the office, I enjoy sympathizing with other Minnesota sports fans, reading books I won't finish but still buying more, as well as playing chess (which I argue is a sport).

Change can feel overwhelming, but you do not have to navigate it alone. From our first meeting, we will work together to create a treatment plan based on your unique needs, goals, and experiences. Whether you are navigating anxiety, stress, life transitions, or the impact of trauma, my approach is grounded in evidence-based assessment and treatment tailored specifically to you. Together, we will build understanding, develop practical skills, and help you move toward the life you want to live.
I specialize in anxiety-spectrum disorders, including anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), hoarding, panic disorder, and specific phobias. Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), I help clients understand and address the thoughts, behaviors, and emotions contributing to anxiety.
I also specialize in trauma-focused therapy, helping clients process traumatic experiences and heal from their impact. I provide evidence-based trauma treatments including Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Prolonged Exposure (weekly and intensive), Narrative Exposure Therapy, and Written Exposure Therapy. I have specialized training working with veteran populations, perinatal trauma, and chronic or multiple trauma histories, including Complex PTSD (C-PTSD).
My approach is warm, collaborative, and trauma-informed. I help clients strengthen emotional regulation, improve relationships, and develop coping skills so that past experiences do not have to define the present or future. I prioritize creating a safe, affirming, and accessible space for all identities and backgrounds, including race, gender, sexuality, disability, and lived experience.
I have experience supporting clients with PTSD, OCD/hoarding, anxiety, depression, panic attacks, specific phobias, substance use concerns, gender-affirming care, women's health concerns, and other mental health challenges.
