Feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, stuck in unhelpful patterns, or having difficulty navigating relationships or major life changes? You do not have to work through these challenges alone. I strive to provide a warm, nonjudgmental space where you can feel understood while developing practical tools to create meaningful change. My approach is collaborative and flexible: I will meet you where you are, help you clarify what matters most, and work with you toward goals that feel realistic and personally meaningful.

As a provider with extensive clinical training in hospital and outpatient settings, I have experience helping adults with anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, life transitions, and other emotional challenges. I specialize in working with adults experiencing anxiety, panic, depression, relationship concerns, and difficult life transitions. Whether you are dealing with constant worry, work-related stress, health anxiety, low mood, or feeling disconnected in your relationships, I offer practical support through anxiety treatment, stress management, and relationship counseling. I am especially passionate about providing culturally responsive therapy for Mandarin-speaking adults, immigrants, and individuals adjusting to major changes in their identity, career, family, or relationships.

I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), tailoring treatment to each client's individual needs, cultural background, and strengths. I also offer therapy in both English and Mandarin. Together, we can identify unhelpful patterns, develop practical skills for managing difficult emotions, and respond to challenging thoughts with greater flexibility. My goal is to help you build on your strengths, improve your relationships, and take realistic steps toward feeling more confident and creating meaningful, lasting change.

Reaching out can feel difficult, but taking that first step can open the door to greater confidence, connection, and a life that feels more aligned with who you want to be.

Our lives and our brains throw us lots of curveballs, which can leave us feeling frustrated and overwhelmed. I specialize in working with people who find themselves “stuck on repeat” with compulsive behaviors. Using research-based techniques tailored to each unique person, I help people get back in the driver’s seat and navigate their lives according to their values and goals.

Using therapeutic interventions grounded in research and tailored to the individual, I have successfully treated anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, hoarding, body-focused repetitive behaviors (BFRBs) including skin picking and hair pulling, self-injury, tic disorders, compulsive technology use, substance use, and disordered eating in teens and adults. I have worked with special populations including members of the uniformed services, veterans, incarcerated people, and people with current and past cancer diagnoses. These experiences have made me very comfortable working with adjustment to circumstances we cannot control.

I use approaches based on cognitive behavioral therapy such as acceptance and commitment therapy, guided mindfulness meditation, comprehensive behavioral intervention for tics, habit reversal training, comprehensive behavioral treatment for BFRBs, and exposure and response prevention. In treatment, I emphasize and honor the importance of the whole person: body, mind, and spirit. Accordingly, cultural heritage and tradition, gender identity and sexuality, and faith/spirituality may play an important role in your treatment and will be given the space they deserve. Whatever your circumstances, a meaningful life aligned with your values is achievable. I won’t have all the answers, but I’ll walk the path with you.

Life is about living fully—not just coping with symptoms or pushing through challenges alone. My work is dedicated to helping the women I serve get unstuck, move toward clarity and confidence, reconnect with their strengths, and build lives aligned with their values and goals. I specialize in supporting women through life transitions, professional burnout, infertility, addiction, and disability‑related challenges.

My clinical approach is shaped by my experience within the VA and by my work in community behavioral health, where I gained a close understanding of how trauma, chronic stress, and major life challenges affect women’s wellbeing. This background gives me a practical, real‑world perspective that informs the compassionate, evidence‑based care I provide as women navigate some of life’s most difficult moments.

I earned my PhD from Bowling Green State University in 2007 and completed my predoctoral internship at the West Los Angeles VA Healthcare System, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship at the VA Puget Sound Healthcare System’s Center of Excellence in Substance Addiction Treatment and Education (CESATE) in Seattle. I later transitioned to county‑level work, developing and overseeing programs that support individuals with mental health and substance use needs who come into contact with the criminal legal system. My work centers on expanding access to behavioral health services, strengthening community‑based supports, and improving pathways to stability and recovery for individuals navigating complex systems.

Across these roles, I’ve built a clinical perspective rooted in trauma‑informed care and developed a deep appreciation for our ability to thrive when we have access to care that supports healing, growth, and moving through major life challenges with strength and steadiness.

Outside the therapy room, I am a proud mom who finds joy in hiking, gardening, and spending time with family. I love getting lost in a great book or film. These passions keep me grounded and remind me daily of the importance of balance and a full life beyond our struggles.

I am excited to bring my experience and passion for personalized, compassionate care to the Nowlogy team. I warmly welcome women seeking support with stress, burnout, life transitions, infertility, addiction, and emotional patterns that can make daily life feel overwhelming or unsteady.

Change can feel overwhelming, but you do not have to navigate it alone. From our first meeting, we will work together to create a treatment plan based on your unique needs, goals, and experiences. Whether you are navigating anxiety, stress, life transitions, or the impact of trauma, my approach is grounded in evidence-based assessment and treatment tailored specifically to you. Feeling stuck in cycles of anxiety, overwhelmed by intense emotions, or disconnected from yourself and the people who matter most can leave you feeling deeply isolated. Feeling overwhelmed by challenges with focus, executive function, or emotions? You are not alone, and meaningful change is possible. I work collaboratively with my clients to understand what drives these patterns and to develop practical, sustainable solutions. My practice specializes in comprehensive psychodiagnostic assessments for ASD and ADHD, designed to clarify your unique strengths and challenges while guiding clear recommendations for treatment, school supports, and workplace accommodations. Alongside assessment, I offer dedicated therapy and parent coaching, utilizing a practical, behavioral approach to help you make intentional changes to everyday environments and routines so that success becomes more achievable.

My work is grounded in a decade of experience in developmental psychology and a deep commitment to providing identity-affirming care. In my therapy practice, I focus primarily on adolescents and adults, specializing in supporting queer (LGBTQ+) and neurodivergent individuals. Together, we use evidence-based cognitive behavioral and behavioral approaches to navigate executive dysfunction, strengthen emotional regulation, and manage attention in ways that feel authentic to your unique neurotype.

Because neurodivergent individuals exist within families, I also provide specialized support for caregivers. I offer Parent Management Training (PMT) and parent coaching specifically tailored for children ages 4–17. This work equips parents with evidence-based, structured tools for behavior management, helping to reduce household stress and foster positive family dynamics.

Ultimately, my approach is client-centered, practical, and focused on real-life outcomes you can see and feel. Through a balance of skill-building and psychoeducation, I aim to help you make sense of your experiences while providing tools you can use day-to-day. I prioritize collaboration, clear goals, and steady progress so you leave each session feeling informed, supported, and confident. If you’re ready to move forward with a plan that feels clear and manageable, I’m here to help you take that next step.

Are you worried that your child is struggling with attention, learning, self-regulation, or social communication? Perhaps you have been wondering whether ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), or another neurodevelopmental difference could explain the challenges your child is experiencing at home, at school, or in relationships. Maybe your child feels anxious, overwhelmed, frustrated, withdrawn, or has difficulty managing emotions, friendships, or academic stress.

Adolescents and young adults often face similar challenges, including anxiety, depression, attention difficulties, identity development, relationship concerns, academic pressures, and life transitions. Whether you are a parent seeking support for your child or a young adult navigating these issues yourself, it can be hard to know where to begin.

I am passionate about helping children, adolescents, young adults, and families gain clarity, build on their strengths, and create lasting positive change. I provide comprehensive evaluations for ADHD, ASD, and Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD), as well as therapy for anxiety, emotional regulation, behavioral concerns, relationships, and life transitions.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and strengths-based. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Family Therapy to help clients better understand themselves, develop practical coping skills, manage emotions, improve relationships, and feel more confident.

I welcome children, adolescents, college students, young adults, and families from all backgrounds. I work with adolescents and adults on a range of concerns, with a particular interest and specialization in eating disorders, exercise addiction, body image, low self-esteem, OCD, and anxiety. I also have extensive experience helping people who feel caught in cycles of overthinking and worrying, who are highly self-critical, or who struggle with a persistent feeling that they’re not ‘good enough'.

While having a space to talk and feel heard is important, I also want you to leave our sessions with skills or takeaways that you can use in your everyday life. Our goal isn't to eliminate every difficult thought or feeling, but to help you feel less controlled by them and more able to live life in ways which are meaningful for you.

I draw from evidence-based approaches including CBT, ACT, and ERP, DBT/ RO-DBT, and FBT, tailoring treatment to your needs and goals. Together, we’ll explore the thoughts and behaviors that may be contributing to your distress and work toward developing more helpful and flexible ways of responding.

Outside of the office, I enjoy sympathizing with other Minnesota sports fans, reading books I won't finish but still buying more, as well as playing chess (which I argue is a sport).

As a relationally oriented clinical psychologist with over a decade of experience in therapy and assessments, I strive to deliver high-quality care using an evidence-based and culturally sensitive framework. I offer a warm, compassionate, and supportive environment. As an Asian American woman and first-generation immigrant, I know how important it is to honor the intersectionalities of our identities. In my clinical work, I help individuals explore and strengthen their sense of self so that they become their own agent of change in finding solutions to their problems and enhancing meaning in their lives.

Professionally, I have worked with individuals from diverse backgrounds and identities across a range of clinical presentations, including adolescents, adults, and families dealing with anxiety, physical symptoms of anxiety/panic, depression, trauma, ADHD, OCD, acculturation and immigration issues, academic and career stress, Asian + American mental health, and women’s mental health issues. I also provide affirming mental health care to the BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities. Inspired by my own personal experiences, I am passionate about empowering women and new parents in finding their inner source of resilience and self-compassion as they embark in different seasons of life.

My therapeutic approach integrates a strengths-based model using empirically supported treatment, including acceptance and commitment therapy, cognitive and dialectical behavioral therapies, multiculturalism, and solution-focused therapy. The foundation of these approaches is to teach individuals skills to enhance their ability to notice and make room for thoughts and feelings, especially those difficult ones, and choose to take effective action towards important life goals and align with personal values.

It would be an honor to have the opportunity to build a healing, non-judgmental, and nurturing space with you and to support you in fostering a more joyful, attuned, and intentional way to live life. The motto I often reference is to live happy, healthy, and well in whatever ways that are meaningful to you!

Hello! I am a clinical psychologist with expertise in helping kids, teens, young adults (ages 18-26), and parents tap in to their natural capabilities and move effectively through the waves of life’s messy moments with curiosity, clarity, resilience, and compassion.

I take a collaborative and practical approach rooted in evidence‑based, whole‑person care. With over two decades of experience, I am passionate using what science and lived experiences teach us about your mind-body connection and the role that your natural strengths can play in finding your way to better tomorrows. Depending upon your needs, we might draw from approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mind‑body and integrative approaches, Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), clinical hypnosis, or Attachment‑Based Family Therapy (ABFT).

I am a trauma‑informed, identity‑affirming provider who supports clients facing a wide range of concerns. Together, we’ll make space for difficult experiences, strengthen strategies to foster resilience, and learn to move through intense thoughts and emotions in more safe and effective ways.

I enjoy working with folks who have a range of presenting concerns, particularly those identifying as neurodivergent (Autism Spectrum Disorders, ADHD, learning differences, developmental delays, twice‑exceptional profiles, intellectual disabilities) and their parents/ families. I welcome clients from all backgrounds and strive to create an inclusive, affirming space for individuals of all identities and lived experiences, including LGBTQ+ clients and those shaped by cultural, racial, or systemic factors.

Understanding and harnessing strengths, navigating challenges, and building in strategies that support thriving, not just surviving, are common focal points. Alternatively, given the complexities of today’s family landscapes, our work may center around supporting intentional, compassionate and effective parenting across all stages of parenthood.

I also see clients for Functional Somatic Disorders (FSD), Functional Neurological Disorder (FND), or other Psychosomatic or Functional health symptoms; Health psychology; and family conflict and parenting challenges.

Life can feel demanding and overwhelming. My hope is to offer a therapeutic experience that feels grounded, compassionate, genuine, and safe—one in which you will feel seen, heard, inspired and unconditionally accepted. Together, we’ll clarify what matters most to you and take thoughtful, achievable steps toward lasting growth.

Hi there! I’m Dr. Matti Martin. I believe therapy should be more than just a listening ear—it should actually help you create meaningful change in your life.

As a licensed clinical psychologist with doctoral training, I bring a deeper understanding of the brain-body connection to our work together. When you’re experiencing anxiety, depression, or other challenges, it’s not “just in your head”—your entire nervous system is involved. Using my skills as an educator, I’ll help you understand these connections and develop practical strategies that address both your thoughts and physical experiences.

Having been in the client’s chair myself, I know how frustrating it can be when therapy feels like endless talking without progress. That’s why I balance deep introspective work with practical skill-building. You’ll leave each session with at least one specific action or technique to practice between our meetings, ensuring you’re always moving forward.

I believe in celebrating your wins while gently challenging you to stretch toward your goals. Real growth requires honest feedback—something my clients appreciate even when it’s difficult to hear. My approach is primarily rooted in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, thoughtfully integrated with, Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), DBT, existential, and liberation therapy techniques to create a personalized experience.

Clients often mention my sense of humor and adaptability as unexpected benefits of our work together. Don’t like eye contact? We don’t have to do it. Prefer a faster pace with lots of questions rather than silence? I can adjust. Want to slow things down to process? We can make that space. Even something as simple as both holding a cup of tea during our session can help create the comfortable atmosphere you need to do this important work.

Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, identity questions, life transitions, or complex grief, I’d be honored to walk alongside you. Together, we can help you develop the deep roots and flexibility needed to weather life’s challenges while creating a life of meaning and purpose.

Accepts: Blue Cross Blue Shield, Health Partners, CIGNA, Aetna, America’s PPO, and Self-Pay

Dr. Sofie Shouse is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with over 15 years of experience providing compassionate, evidence-based care to teens (15+) and adults navigating a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and relational concerns. She works with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, mood fluctuations, obsessive-compulsive symptoms, perfectionism, emotional dysregulation, relationship challenges, low self-esteem, and difficulties with identity, life transitions, or coping skills. Dr. Shouse also supports individuals struggling with body image concerns, disordered eating patterns, and their relationship with food, while taking a Health At Every Size®-aligned approach.

Dr. Shouse draws from evidence-based therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Interpersonal Therapy (IPT). While she values evidence-based treatment, her primary focus is building a strong therapeutic relationship grounded in trust, honesty, empathy, and genuine connection. She believes therapy is fundamentally about helping people better understand themselves, process difficult emotions, and move toward meaningful and lasting change.

Her approach begins with a thoughtful assessment process to better understand each client’s unique experiences, strengths, and goals. She tailors therapy to the individual, helping clients identify and shift unhelpful thoughts, beliefs, and behavioral patterns while building healthier coping strategies and greater self-compassion. Dr. Shouse believes therapy is not about perfection, but about making progress and creating a more fulfilling and authentic life.

Dr. Shouse is affirming of individuals who practice polyamory and/or identify as LGBTQIA+, and she is knowledgeable about neurodivergence, including ADHD and giftedness. In addition to supporting teens and adults, she also works with parents of gifted and neurodivergent children, helping families better understand emotional intensity, behavioral challenges, perfectionism, executive functioning difficulties, and parenting strategies that support their child’s growth and well-being.

Life can throw many unexpected challenges our way, and you are not alone in facing them. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of how to move forward in your personal or professional life, therapy offers a warm, collaborative, and compassionate space to recognize and unpack your struggles, empowering you to make meaningful changes.

I provide a non-judgmental, client-centered, and collaborative therapeutic environment where you can explore the narratives you carry and work toward your goals. I welcome clients from all backgrounds and identities, offering culturally conscious care to BIPOC, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and those navigating a range of life circumstances. I draw on a wide range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches to create personalized plans that foster emotional growth, resilience, and empowerment. As someone who has personally navigated life’s challenges, I understand how difficult it can be to ask for help, and I’m here to support you every step of the way.

I am particularly passionate and experienced in providing services to young adults navigating a wide range of life circumstances. Whether you an experiencing a significant life transition, questioning your path in life, wanting to explore, become more confident, and affirmed in your identity, or are managing pre-existed mental health concerns that make the stressors of day-to-day life difficult I am here to help. Using evidence-based practices including ACT and narrative therapy techniques, we will explore your story, values, and identity to help connect you with and move you towards a personally fulfilling and meaningful life. I am deeply committed to the treatment of trauma and helping those who have experienced traumatic events reestablish a sense of safety and empowerment in their lives. This includes the treatment of PTSD and complex PTSD using evidence-based treatments such as CPT and stage oriented integrated therapy. In these approaches we will focus on establishing a sense of safety and develop effective skills to manage the painful emotions, memories, and body sensations that trauma can cause. Using these skills for stabilization, we can work to process traumatic memories with the goal of remembrance, mourning, and integration into our life story, leading to empowered reconnection with ourselves, others, and the world.

Life can be hard, but you do not have to navigate it alone. In an ever-changing world, I find it increasingly important to provide collaborative care, guided by evidence-based assessments and treatments, to individuals and families who are struggling with mood concerns, developmental transitions, and interpersonal issues both within and outside of the family unit. I take an integrated and collaborative approach to care. Every person is unique, and I believe treatment should always be tailored to your needs and circumstances. At the core of my approach is my emphasis on meeting clients where they are and providing the resources, strategies, and techniques needed to help them get where they want to be.

I offer expertise in helping clients with mood concerns (such as anxiety and depression), obsessive compulsive concerns (OCD), interpersonal and social issues, stressful life transitions, and parent-driven concerns. I help clients experiencing anxiety and depression improve their mood through Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I specialize in Exposure-Focused CBT (EF-CBT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for clients with obsessive and compulsive tendencies who want to take back control of their lives.

For clients experiencing interpersonal or social challenges, I also offer communication and socioemotional coaching with a focus on social problem solving and decision making. Having worked with individuals across the lifespan, including children, teenagers, young adults, adults, and parents, I understand the many transitions that arise throughout life, such as school changes, work demands, career shifts, and developmental changes.

I can help clients make sense of these transitions and create action plans that reflect Motivational Interviewing (MI) and ACT approaches. I also bring expertise in guiding parents through managing disruptive behaviors in their children through Parent Management Training (PMT), with a focus on parent-led behavioral interventions.

I pride myself on creating a safe and collaborative therapeutic environment where clients feel understood and supported in making meaningful changes. I believe everyone has an innate ability to grow, and my role is to help you and your family harness that potential through compassionate, research-informed care.

If you’re feeling emotionally exhausted, stuck in patterns that no longer serve you, or just unsure of what you need—therapy can help you start again with intention. I work with clients navigating the pressures of high expectations—whether from within or the outside world. Many are young adults, first-generation professionals, high-achieving students, or BIPOC individuals striving to succeed while staying true to themselves.

I also offer executive coaching for clients seeking greater clarity, confidence, and balance in their professional and personal lives. My coaching approach is grounded in helping individuals reconnect with their core values—those foundational beliefs that shape who they are and how they lead. By aligning their decisions and actions with these values, clients are empowered to create more meaningful, purpose-driven lives and careers.

With a diverse background in coaching leaders across various functions and organizational levels—ranging from emerging managers to middle-managers in both for-profit and non-profit sectors—I bring a nuanced understanding of the challenges and opportunities that come with leadership. My coaching sessions provide a supportive, reflective space where clients can slow down, process their experiences, and explore new possibilities. Together, we focus not only on professional growth but also on personal healing, helping individuals navigate transitions, overcome obstacles, and move forward with greater resilience and authenticity. Areas of focus often include strengthening emotional intelligence, improving communication and conflict resolution skills, developing executive presence, navigating career transitions, setting healthy boundaries, and managing stress and burnout. We also work on cultivating a leadership style that feels both effective and authentic—one that’s grounded in self-awareness, aligned with values, and responsive to the complex demands of today’s workplaces.

Therapeutically, my style is warm, direct, and action-oriented. I draw on a wide range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches to develop personalized plans that help you understand what’s holding you back and build practical strategies to move forward. Whether you’re facing emotional challenges, navigating life transitions, or seeking to align your life with your goals, I’ll meet you where you are and support you in taking steady steps toward a more fulfilling life.

I believe therapy can be a powerful space to reconnect with who you are and create a life that reflects your values, strengths, and goals. I’m committed to fostering authenticity and compassion in our work together, helping you develop a growth mindset and tools that support your overall well-being. Feeling stuck, unfulfilled, or weighed down by life’s challenges? Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, or substance use, you’re not alone—and you don’t have to navigate it by yourself. Many people carry invisible burdens that quietly affect their relationships, confidence, and sense of peace. Therapy offers a safe, compassionate space to unpack those struggles, gain clarity, and move toward lasting change.

As someone who has experienced life’s highs and lows, I deeply respect the courage it takes to face difficult situations with openness and a growth-oriented mindset. I strive to bring that same authenticity and empathy into every session.

My approach is collaborative, supportive, and grounded in evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and trauma-informed modalities including Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and EMDR. Together, we’ll explore the deeper patterns, beliefs, and barriers that keep you stuck—while building practical tools for emotional resilience and personal growth.

In therapy, I emphasize a structured yet flexible approach—tailored to meet you where you are. I draw from multiple modalities to create personalized treatment plans that are both efficient and empowering. My goal is not only to help you reach your therapy objectives but also to equip you with lifelong skills so that you can continue your growth independently. Handouts, skill practice, and between-session reflection often help deepen this process.

I earned my Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) from the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University in Fresno, California. Over the last three years, I’ve had the privilege of working with diverse individuals across a wide range of settings, including Veterans Affairs (VA), community mental health, crisis intervention, psychiatric inpatient, and residential substance-use treatment programs.

If you’re ready to take the first step toward change, I invite you to reach out. You don’t have to face this journey alone—healing starts with a conversation.

If anxiety, OCD, depression, trauma, relationship conflict, or a sense of hopelessness has been running your life, you don’t have to untangle it alone or blame yourself. I enjoy working with tweens, teens, adults, and families. I start by listening carefully to your story, your background, and what your experiences mean to you.

I explain what’s happening in the brain and body in plain language so that guilt and self-blame can give way to clearer understanding. From there, we draw on proven approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to build practical tools for managing thoughts, emotions, and stress. If you’re stuck in unwanted thoughts and habits you can’t shake, I use Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), a well-established treatment for OCD that helps you face fears without relying on rituals.

When trauma is part of your experience, we don’t rush into the hardest memories. I first help you develop steady calming and coping skills tailored to your specific triggers—whether sounds, smells, sights, or other cues. Then, at a pace that feels safe, we can use Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) or gentle exposure approaches to ease the emotional intensity of painful memories over time. My background includes years of hospital-based work, collaboration with physicians when helpful, and ongoing research into emotion regulation and related challenges, so the care you receive is both compassionate and grounded in current science.

My approach is collaborative, moves at your pace, and centers on self-compassion and lasting skills. Whether you’re a tween or teen navigating difficult feelings, an adult carrying earlier hurts, a parent seeking support for your child, or a family working through shared challenges, you can expect warm, research-informed care focused on helping you feel understood and more capable. As a bilingual native speaker of English and Spanish, I also work well with multicultural individuals and families.

At some point, most people encounter experiences that challenge their sense of safety, connection, or identity. Whether you are struggling with the effects of trauma, feeling overwhelmed by anxiety or stress, grieving a loss, or finding yourself stuck in recurring relationship patterns, seeking support is a courageous first step. I strive to create a space where clients feel understood, respected, and empowered to make meaningful changes in their lives.

My clinical work is guided by a deep appreciation for the ways that resilience develops within individuals, families, and communities. Trained in India as well as the United States, I integrate evidence-based approaches while tailoring treatment to each person's values, culture, and lived experiences. I view therapy as a collaborative process—one that honors both the difficulties you have endured and the strengths you bring with you.

My areas of specialty include trauma and PTSD, anxiety, relationship and couples counseling, grief and loss, and adjustment to major life transitions. I am especially passionate about helping individuals and families heal from difficult experiences that continue to affect their relationships, sense of self, and emotional well-being. I also specialize in supporting veterans and military families, first responders, survivors of violence, immigrants, refugees, and people who experience trauma-related dissociation. I offer therapy in both English and Hindi.

I believe healing often emerges from holding two seemingly opposing truths at once: that we are worthy of compassion exactly as we are, and that meaningful growth requires us to engage in the difficult work of change. To support this process, I draw from evidence-based approaches including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Gottman Method Couples Therapy. Regardless of the approach, I strive to provide care that is trauma-informed and tailored to each person's unique experiences and goals.

My hope is to help you find healing, deepen your relationships, and move forward with greater confidence, flexibility, and self-compassion.

Welcome! I’m Dr. Ruhee Laila Sutar, a Clinical Child Psychologist at Nowlogy. I work with children, teens, young adults, and families facing a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges—everything from autism and ADHD to anxiety, mood disorders, trauma, identity concerns, parenting stress, and big life changes. I aim to empower families with both knowledge and support, and I’m committed to making complex ideas accessible, practical, and meaningful.
I’m fluent in English and Hindi, conversational in Urdu, and have passed the New York State Bilingual Education Assessment in Hindi. I care deeply about offering inclusive, culturally responsive care, and ensuring that every family I work with feels seen and respected. I also enjoy sharing insights through community talks—on topics ranging from autism acceptance to stress management for parents—and have contributed to clinical newsletters within various institutions. I’m an active member of professional organizations, including the American Psychological Association and the Society for Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics.

Outside of work, I enjoy exploring the outdoors with my mini Goldendoodle—and Nowlogy therapy support dog—Pluto, catching up with my family and friends, and experimenting in the kitchen. Age Range: Child 3-12 years, Adolescent 13-17 years, Young Adult 18-24 years, Adult 25-64 years

Dr. Emily P. Sander is a licensed clinical psychologist dedicated to providing compassionate, person-centered mental health care to individuals of all ages. Dr. Sander utilizes an integrative approach to psychotherapy, pulling from a variety of therapeutic styles to meet the individual needs of each client, couple, or family. While she employs evidence-based treatments including eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), cognitive behavioral (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and dialectical behavioral (DBT) therapies, approaches are not limited to these alone. Dr. Sander strongly believes that treatment must be tailored to each client’s needs and with a respect for the diverse backgrounds and life experiences of each individual. She is also equipped for Psychological First Aid (PFA) treatments.

Dr. Sander is particularly passionate about the treatment of trauma and helping those who have faced traumatic experiences restore a sense of safety and wellbeing in their lives. This includes treatment of PTSD, complex PTSD, and attachment trauma using EMDR therapy as the foundation for healing. Additionally, EMDR therapy can be a powerful tool in addressing other mental health concerns that have roots in painful past experiences, such as symptoms of anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, phobias, and chronic pain conditions such as fibromyalgia. Dr. Sander is also trained in animal assisted psychotherapy and is in the process of developing a novel animal assisted trauma therapy intervention where animal co-therapists work alongside the provider as supports for healing.

For those seeking more rapid resolution to traumatic experiences Dr. Sander provides EMDR Intensive Treatment. EMDR Intensive Treatment is ideal for those who want to make a significant amount of progress in a much shorter timeframe. While EMDR therapy delivered in a traditional, weekly therapy format is highly effective, it may require several treatment sessions over weeks or months to achieve treatment goals. Intensive treatment offers the chance for more rapid resolution of trauma on a condensed schedule. Visit our EMDR Intensive Treatment page for more information.

In addition to therapy work, Dr. Sander is skilled in the completion of psychological and psycho-educational assessment. In particular, Dr. Sander specializes in neurodiversity focused psychological evaluations including the assessment of autism in adolescents and adults, ADHD across the age spectrum, and learning disabilities. Dr. Sander also provides neurodiversity-affirming psychotherapy for adolescents and adults. In this work she supports autistic individuals, people with ADHD, and other neurodiverse individuals in embracing their diversity and finding the tools and supports to live their best lives.

Dr. Sander earned her masters and doctoral degrees in clinical psychology from Xavier University in Cincinnati, OH. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at Talbert House and Affiliates in Cincinnati, OH and postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Cincinnati Health Service. Dr. Sander has worked in a variety of settings throughout her training and career, including outpatient medical clinics, hospitals, private practice, residential treatment, and the public school system. Dr. Sander was first licensed and practiced psychology in the state of Kentucky before to moving to Minnesota to be closer to family in 2016. Prior to joining Psychology Express in 2023 Dr. Sander served as a psychology provider in the Mayo Clinic system.

In her free time, Dr. Sander enjoys spending time in nature, coaching youth sports, gardening, and “making things” of all kinds. When not in the office she can often be found planning future travels and making memories with her spouse, children, and fur-family members.

Have you felt that the mental healthcare system has failed you when you needed help? Do you continue trying to make changes despite setbacks, looking for professional help that will provide the validation and understanding to aid in effectively problem solving the stressors of life? My goal is to help reach those who feel this way and work towards establishing a life less weighed down by problems that feel insurmountable, and shifting focus towards finding meaning, purpose, and connection to what is most important to you.

While I continually feel the personal frustration in the early stages of treatment from people seeking therapy due to an overall lack of progress towards resolving the problems they want help with, it is my responsibility to help move beyond symptom management and past problem resolution, to effectively establish more meaning and purpose in your life.

My areas of specialty include severe and persistent mental illness, chronic mental health conditions, substance use and behavioral addictions, and those who have had limited success with psychotherapeutic treatment approaches in the past. Further, I have experience with individuals who have undergone psychedelic therapeutic interventions (i.e., ketamine), severe trauma, and chronic suicidality, areas that individuals have told me has made establishing strong therapeutic rapport in treatment for consistent addressing of complex psychological concerns.

My priority in clinical practice is to provide structure, support, and challenge through person-centered and strengths-based interventions. Establishing a strong foundation of trust, non-judgement, and autonomy in the therapeutic relationship is essential to effectively address the impacts on your life from mental health concerns. Additional approaches that I integrate through my primary humanistic/existential therapeutic orientation include use of root-cause analysis, motivational interviewing, internal family systems, and ACT-based value processing.

I welcome clients from all backgrounds, gender identities, ages 12 and older, individuals, families, and couples. I also have additional specialized experience working with professionals and athletes.

I hold Authority to Practice Interjurisdictional Telepsychology (APIT) through PSYPACT, allowing me to provide telehealth services in 43 participating states.

Anxiety about the future—or even just getting through today—can feel overwhelming, whether the worries are big or small. Depression can pull you inward, leaving you feeling isolated and disconnected. Even simple questions like “are you okay?” can feel too heavy to answer, while your thoughts cycle endlessly without relief.

These experiences are real, and you don’t have to navigate them alone. While starting therapy can feel difficult, it can also be the first step toward meaningful, lasting change.

Dr. Ann Corell earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Sam Houston State University in 2007. In addition to her clinical work, she is a National Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC) and has helped hundreds of individuals create sustainable health-related behavior change. This allows her to support clients not only emotionally, but also in the daily habits that impact overall well-being.

Her clinical approach is integrative and trauma-focused, with a strong emphasis on the therapeutic relationship as the foundation for growth and healing. Dr. Corell works collaboratively with clients, empowering them to become the hero in their own lives—equipping them with both insight and practical tools to create meaningful, lasting change.

She enjoys working with clients across the lifespan and is especially passionate about helping parents develop effective, practical skills to support children experiencing behavioral or emotional challenges. Her work draws from a range of evidence-based approaches, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), as well as person-centered and strength-based approaches. Trauma-informed techniques are thoughtfully integrated to meet each client’s unique needs.

The first session is an opportunity to share your story—your challenges, experiences, and goals—in a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space. There is no pressure, just a chance to determine if this is the right fit. Therapy is a collaborative process, and she is here to support you every step of the way.

After several years working as a social worker in France, I obtained a dual-specialty Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology and Clinical Psychology from the University of Minnesota. I have a decade of academic research experience on stress, adversity, and resilience, three decades of clinical experience, and over one decade serving as a psychological expert for various courts. I have practiced in clinics, hospitals, and private practice, providing diagnostic assessments, psychotherapy, and psychological evaluations for children, parents, and adults. I have supported people from all walks of life and cultural backgrounds with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, chronic health problems, behavioral challenges, neurodevelopmental differences such as autism and ADHD, school and developmental struggles, relationship challenges, minority stress, and more.

As a developmental psychologist, I keep in mind the developmental trajectories of both adults and children. By looking into the past and the present for sources of pain and resilience, we work together to free you from what has held you back, and propel you forward as your healthier self. My work includes supporting expecting and new parents, helping them navigate the earliest stages of their child’s life. I offer psychodynamic play therapy to preverbal and preschool children, including those struggling with trauma and attachment wounds, as symbolic play often provides profound corrective experiences. I also love working with school-age children, teenagers, and adults, whether they are challenged by, for instance, stress, chronic pain, depressive symptoms, generalized anxiety, phobias, OCD, school transitions, underachievement, divorce or family changes, low self-esteem, identity challenges, psychosis, or PTSD/C-PTSD. I can diagnose, treat, and be your partner in building resilience.

Life is about living, not coping, not managing symptoms. That is my mission: to help people I work with get unstuck so they can live life again. As a psychology superfan, I am excited about teaching individuals about psychology, the science, and how that science can help you live more fully. I work to tailor effective psychology treatments to each person’s unique needs and situations. With intentional listening, I work to incorporate psychology, education, and skills into each conversation, drawing from your interests, hobbies, and values. I especially love working with people who have complex health concerns and those individuals who have felt dismissed, judged, or “gaslit” by other (usually) well intentioned medical specialists.

In my work in Pediatric Psychology and Health Psychology, I teach individuals, kids and adults, who have health concerns how to retrain their nervous system to feel better. I help people sleep more soundly by creating customized sleep routines and meditation recordings. Focusing on values and ways to be in this moment, I can help you feel less stressed and more present in the day to day. Our brains try really hard to keep us safe, and sometimes they overreact, causing anxiety. I connect education about why anxiety happens with humor to help you feel better, and more calm.

I welcome clients of all backgrounds and especially enjoy working with those managing complex health needs, chronic symptoms, or feeling unheard in medical settings. Whether in person or over telehealth, I look forward to helping you reclaim a fuller, calmer, more meaningful life.

I believe that the challenges we face in life can be powerful turning points—moments that help us grow, heal, and rediscover our strength. Whether you are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or wondering if you are “broken,” please know that you’re not alone—and there is hope. I offer compassionate, evidence-based support to help you navigate life’s difficulties to help you find your way to a life where you can truly thrive.

I work collaboratively with clients using a strengths-based approach to provide compassionate care for adults of all backgrounds and identities. I offer a safe, supportive space where healing can take place—especially for those carrying the wounds of sexual abuse, childhood trauma, domestic violence, spiritual or religious harm, and emotional abuse. I also enjoy working with clients struggling with symptoms of anxiety, depression, worry, chronic pain and other health issues, life transitions, grief and loss, self-esteem and self-worth, OCD, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, personal boundaries, and relationships.

My goal is to meet my clients where they are and help them create lives they find meaningful and more aligned with who they are and what they want. To do this, I use evidence-based therapy approaches including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and other evidence-based trauma approaches. I completed training for my doctorate at Spalding University in Louisville, KY. Through my training and beyond, I’ve been honored to work with amazing clients in several settings, including community mental health, a psychiatric in-patient hospital, college counseling centers, private practices, and an organization focused on providing trauma therapy to survivors of mass violence, sexual assault, and interpersonal/domestic violence. I’m genuinely grateful for the opportunity to walk alongside my clients through their growth and healing journeys.

Seeking out therapy is often an intimidating undertaking. Whether you are new to therapy or returning after a break, sharing your story with someone new can be emotionally difficult. I want to commend you for taking this step and caring enough about your well-being to seek support. I strive to offer a safe, non-judgmental space where you feel heard and understood.

My approach is grounded in developing a strong therapeutic relationship and understanding how past experiences, relationships, and societal influences impact your current life. I typically recommend weekly sessions to build rapport and make meaningful progress. Less frequent meetings can make it harder to build on previous insights and create momentum.

I earned my PhD from the University of Detroit Mercy and completed my internship at the Indian Health Care Resource Center in Tulsa, OK. I’m originally from Houston and enjoy working with teens and adults facing anxiety, depression, school/work stress, and more. I’m committed to providing inclusive, culturally aware care to clients from all backgrounds.

Why Choose Telehealth?

Telehealth can make psychological care more convenient when traveling to an office is difficult or when the psychologist who best fits your needs practices in another part of Minnesota.

Online appointments may also provide:

  • Greater flexibility

  • Access to more psychologists

  • No commute to the clinic

  • The ability to attend from a comfortable, private setting

  • Continuity of care when schedules or travel make in-person appointments difficult

Insurance and Self-Pay

Many of our psychologists participate with commercial insurance plans. Coverage for telehealth varies by insurance plan, so benefits should be verified with your insurer.

Self-pay appointments are also available. See more information here.

Frequently Asked Questions

No. If you are physically located in Minnesota at the time of your appointment and your psychologist is licensed to provide services in Minnesota, you may be able to receive care through telehealth.

The format is different, but telehealth appointments still involve direct, individualized care with your psychologist. Your provider can help determine whether telehealth is appropriate for your needs.

Some of our psychologists provide online therapy for children and adolescents. Whether telehealth is appropriate depends on the child’s age, needs, and treatment goals.
