Have you felt that the mental healthcare system has failed you when you needed help? Do you continue trying to make changes despite setbacks, looking for professional help that will provide the validation and understanding to aid in effectively problem solving the stressors of life? My goal is to help reach those who feel this way and work towards establishing a life less weighed down by problems that feel insurmountable, and shifting focus towards finding meaning, purpose, and connection to what is most important to you.

While I continually feel the personal frustration in the early stages of treatment from people seeking therapy due to an overall lack of progress towards resolving the problems they want help with, it is my responsibility to help move beyond symptom management and past problem resolution, to effectively establish more meaning and purpose in your life.

My areas of specialty include severe and persistent mental illness, chronic mental health conditions, substance use and behavioral addictions, and those who have had limited success with psychotherapeutic treatment approaches in the past. Further, I have experience with individuals who have undergone psychedelic therapeutic interventions (i.e., ketamine), severe trauma, and chronic suicidality, areas that individuals have told me has made establishing strong therapeutic rapport in treatment for consistent addressing of complex psychological concerns.

My priority in clinical practice is to provide structure, support, and challenge through person-centered and strengths-based interventions. Establishing a strong foundation of trust, non-judgement, and autonomy in the therapeutic relationship is essential to effectively address the impacts on your life from mental health concerns. Additional approaches that I integrate through my primary humanistic/existential therapeutic orientation include use of root-cause analysis, motivational interviewing, internal family systems, and ACT-based value processing.

I welcome clients from all backgrounds, gender identities, ages 12 and older, individuals, families, and couples. I also have additional specialized experience working with professionals and athletes.

I hold Authority to Practice Interjurisdictional Telepsychology (APIT) through PSYPACT, allowing me to provide telehealth services in 43 participating states.

Feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, stuck in unhelpful patterns, or having difficulty navigating relationships or major life changes? You do not have to work through these challenges alone. I strive to provide a warm, nonjudgmental space where you can feel understood while developing practical tools to create meaningful change. My approach is collaborative and flexible: I will meet you where you are, help you clarify what matters most, and work with you toward goals that feel realistic and personally meaningful.

As a postdoctoral-level therapist with extensive clinical training in hospital and outpatient settings, I have experience helping adults with anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, life transitions, and other emotional challenges. I specialize in working with adults experiencing anxiety, panic, depression, relationship concerns, and difficult life transitions. Whether you are dealing with constant worry, work-related stress, health anxiety, low mood, or feeling disconnected in your relationships, I offer practical support through anxiety treatment, stress management, and relationship counseling. I am especially passionate about providing culturally responsive therapy for Mandarin-speaking adults, immigrants, and individuals adjusting to major changes in their identity, career, family, or relationships.

I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), tailoring treatment to each client's individual needs, cultural background, and strengths. I also offer therapy in both English and Mandarin. Together, we can identify unhelpful patterns, develop practical skills for managing difficult emotions, and respond to challenging thoughts with greater flexibility. My goal is to help you build on your strengths, improve your relationships, and take realistic steps toward feeling more confident and creating meaningful, lasting change.

Reaching out can feel difficult, but taking that first step can open the door to greater confidence, connection, and a life that feels more aligned with who you want to be.

I earned my Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from Roosevelt University in Chicago, Illinois. During my training, I gained experience working with diverse and complex populations across a range of clinical settings, including prisons, Veterans Affairs hospitals, outpatient mental health clinics, and substance use treatment centers.

For the past four years, I've been providing clinical services to clients at Nowlogy, working with individuals experiencing a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, trauma, substance use disorders, relational difficulties, borderline personality disorder, and other complex mental health challenges.

I provide individual psychotherapy and psychological assessment services. My work integrates evidence-based treatment approaches tailored to each client’s needs. I draw from a range of empirically supported modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI). I also utilize trauma-focused treatments such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Written Exposure Therapy (WET), and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT).

My therapeutic style is empathetic, compassionate, and collaborative. I strive to create a space that is both professional and approachable, allowing clients to feel comfortable while engaging in meaningful therapeutic work. Clients often describe me as knowledgeable, easygoing, and supportive, noting that they can build rapport quickly and feel safe discussing difficult topics without fear of judgment.

I believe that meaningful growth and change are possible at any stage of life. I am committed to helping clients navigate challenges, build insight, and develop effective strategies for healing and personal growth within a safe, collaborative, and nonjudgmental therapeutic environment. I look forward to working with you.
